Pirouette Vibrator Review

Personally, I’ve never been a fan of the straight, traditional vibrators (i.e. non G-spot vibes) because I’ve never really accomplished an orgasm out of them internally, get frustrated and use them for clitoral stimulation instead. So, I try to go for something with a curved tip. But I broke my rule this time for the Pirouette by Pleasure Works. To be honest it’s not all that traditional of a vibrator.

What sets this apart is the texture. The Pirouette is full of twists and turns around the entire shaft for textured stimulation. In total there are 4 “bulbs” on the shaft that can provide some awesome sensations during internal use. Because the last “bulb” is at the tip I can even rub my g-spot (if I slightly tilt the vibrator inside of me) and though I can only provide light pressure it’s really all I need because the vibrations transfer heavily to that area and throughout the whole vibrator. In total length it is 7 ¼” long. The insertable length is 6”. The width is 1 1/8”. It’s not a girthy toy, less than 2 fingers put together in width, but I like that. I don’t like my toys to be thick as I get resistance when I’m solo so I most enjoy the thinner toys.

Vibrations. Vibrations. Vibrations. Though they’re not the deep, rumbly type a power queen may require they are strong for what it is. The vibrations are one pattern; you’re standard “hummer” vibe. Pop this on a table and turn it on it will jump all over the place so you could imagine it's strength internally. The lowest setting isn't tickly or rumbly, it's still pretty strong, it starts out at about a medium speed then it gradually intensifies if you increase the power. You can twist the bottom like most traditional vibrators to increase or decrease the vibrations.

The setting control is located at the very base of the vibrator, right after the battery pack opening. The seam is almost invisible and during use can be hard to find because you could accidentally try to twist the battery pack off instead and the seam isn’t noticeable when you run your finger on it. The seam for the battery pack is noticeable. I should mention the Pirouette takes 2 AA batteries to operate.

This vibrator is NOT quiet. On its lowest setting you can hear the vibes pretty well though not through a closed door. On its highest setting it sounds like a small appliance and can be heard through a closed door. The noise is high pitched and rattley. I don’t have to deal with any issues of making too much noise and getting caught because I don’t have roommates or parents to deal with, just the hubby, so this isn’t a terrible issue for me but could be for someone with preferences of a quiet vibrator.

The Pirouette is waterproof! There is a clear rubber ring placed where the seam is at the battery pack. This cannot be seen when the pack is closed, only upon opening. But after it Is closed that rubber ring follows the seam perfectly to prevent water leaking in.

The Pirouette is made of ABS with velvet coating. This means it is phthalates-free, non-porous and generally should be impact resistant however mine has a chip at the tip. Since its non-porous this can be shared with a partner after proper cleaning (use an antibacterial toy cleaner/wipe) or between orifices, however, there is no flared base to prevent this from slipping up inside the rectum so be sure to buy an attatchment if you use it anally. The Pirouette is truly velvety smooth and almost, ALMOST, feels like a quality silicone would; smooth and no drag. It is not plushy. It is hard as a rock and not pliable in the least so account for that if you require something with give.

Overall: I think it’s a toy worth having in my toy box. It’s not a boring old straight vibrator without bells or whistles, on the contrary the vibrations are strong and the twists are pleasurable and exciting. There’s nothing more that I hate than a toy made of a material that drags and again the Pirouette gets points for having a smooth texture without resistance. I’m not a fan per-se of the noisiness of the toy but the vibrations make up for it and since I don’t have to be quiet it doesn’t affect me. The only qualms I have are the turn dial settings and the chip at the top doesn’t make me believe the material will be all that durable in the future. This may have turned me back on (just a bit!) to non G-spot vibrators. I think the Pirouette gets a 4/5.

New Butt Plug

Well I've been looking for a new butt plug, one of good material quality, and I managed to find one made of silicone for a good price. It's called the Booty Call Booty Teaser by Cal Exotics. I've been trying to weed out the toys with low quality materials that I own so I can replace them with safer toys. I don't mind plastic as much but I'd like to have as many silicone and glass toy replacements as I can get.

My experience with butt plugs is semi-limited. Anal play isn't something I frequently do while masturbating or during sex. For one my husband does not like anal sex. He says I'm too tight and also he has that curve in his penis (which I call my personal G-spot curve) which makes it uncomfortable for both of us. I'm no stranger to anal sex as I had alot of it with previous partners but it's something I'm willing to forgo with him. The second reason I don't do anal play frequently (i.e. during masturbation) is because I've only had one orgasm to date from anal stimulation and when I masturbate I just want to cum. BUT as of late I've been wanting to explore some more in that region so I'm going to go small and I'm going to go safe. I've considered glass toys for anal but I think I'd rather try something more pliable for that region. Don't get me wrong glass dildos are fantastic, especially G-spot glass dildos, but since it's been a while since I've played with my bum I wanna start gentle.

So I went on youtube, of all places, and stumbled upon a woman's video about sex toys and she was kind enough to leave a coupon code (PHONE) for 50% off plus free shipping in the video for adam&eve. Alot of shops are having clearance sales at the moment for their version of "Spring Cleaning" so luckily I stumbled across a butt plug that I really want to try. After the coupon I only paid $5 for it so if I don't like it, it's really not a loss at all.

I'll review it when I get it; I'll be waiting by the door til it gets here. Okay, not literally, but almost.

So now that I have a new butt plug on the way I need to work on getting storage! I have toys all over the place! It may be convenient that they're literally in every room of the house but it's definitely a pain when I have company pop over unannounced and I have to do a quick clean up before I grab the door!

So back to the butt plug. According to Adam & Eve it is:
• Small black anal probe
• Made from premium silicone
• 3½” long, ¾” wide shaft
• Cylindrical head for expert anal stimulation
• Center bead
• Ultra-flexible
• Smooth surface
• E-Z retrieval handle
• Waterproof

One of the pictures posted on the website make me a teensy bit wary about the actual quality of the silicone, as it looks splotchy. I guess we'll see when it gets here! I won't know 'til I try it out and when I do, you guys will be the First to know.

$10 Pocket Rocket- Mega Mite Review

The other day when I was writing about my "niche" and my first sex toy experience, I wrote a little about pocket rockets. I thought today I'd bring you a pocket rocket that is both affordable and amazing. But first, what is a pocket rocket?

A pocket rocket is a mini vibrator. Usually they are about the size of your finger and the vibrations are centered at the tip of the vibe for pinpoint clitoral stimulation. Some come with additional sleeves for textured stimulation and they usually only take 1 AA battery. You can get pocket rockets around the $10 range almost anywhere but there is one in particular I really like.

It's called the Mega Mite by Cal Exotics.

The Mega Mite is just over 4" in length and 1" at it's widest point. This is a discreet vibrator because of it's size and because it is so small can fit in your purse easily if you plan to travel. Though the mega mite does not come with additional sleeves it is a standard sized pocket rocket so they can be purchased separately.  I haven't done this because I enjoy the tip.

The tip has 3 soft rubber balls that hug around the clitoris and deliver the vibrations in a delicate way. What I mean is you're not rubbing your sensitive clit with hard plastic nubs until raw; the rubber tips are very soft on the body.

The Mega Mite takes 1 AA battery and when you twist the batteries in place you use the same twisting motion to turn it on/off & increase/decrease the vibes gradually.

So, why is this my favorite pocket vibe so far?
For one, my previous experience with pocket vibes generally consisted of those with thinner plastic. How can you tell? Because the vibe was see-through. Though it's pretty on colored vibes that thinner plastic makes it less durable and as a result I've broken many pocket rockets. (I've dropped them, stepped on them, and my dog has chewed them up!) I've even had a battery melt them! The Mega Mite is made of a very durable plastic. I've had mine for 3 years and not a crack has been made in it. I'm still amazed it's not destroyed after all of this time as I am a major klutz!

The second reason is it is one of the strongest pocket rockets I've ever owned. Similar vibes have left me really wanting stronger vibes but this one is heavy duty; in material and performance. I think the rubber tips have something to do with the strong transfer of vibes.

Third, it's waterproof and non-pourous. I've had similar pocket rockets claim to be waterproof only to find water trapped in the battery pack after use in the tub or shower but I've never had water leak into my Mega Mite vibe.

So it's strong, durable, and affordable; what's the catch? It's hard to clean. That's the biggest complaint I have for it. The nubs are difficult to clean in between. Yup, that's the only issue I have with it. Now I know there are probably better P.R. out there and the best probably cost a fortune but for around $10 or less this is an excellent buy. For these reasons I give it a solid 5/5.

PicoBong Moka Review

So, from my last review I told you how much I didn't care for the Posh Teaser 4's silicone but the curve of the tip was nice for G spot stimulation. Today I've got another G-spot toy made of silicone I want to talk about. I've been using this one for the past couple of weeks now and it's one of my most used toys currently.

Yesterday I made a post about one of LeLo's products, the antibacterial toy cleaner. This toy I'm about to review is made by LELo but before I get started let me introduce you to LELO. LELO is a Swedish brand of luxury adult products. The quality of their toys are superb and one of the best brands in my opinion you could own. Their toys are made of excellent quality silicone, metal, or even gold. No joke, they have a 24kt dildo on the market. Their sex toys usually are in the $100+ range (excluding the 24kt dildo which I've seen in the tens of thousands of dollars range and other products such as accessories i.e. the toy cleaner which is less than $10). That being said, LeLo so generously developed an affordable line for those of us who can't regularly dish out cash but want a good quality toy. This line is called PicoBong.

The toy I'm reviewing today is LELO's PicoBong Moka.

This is a g-spot vibrator with a prominent curve that lands straight on the g-spot. The curve is my friend and my enemy. I have a low pubic bone so the curve makes it a.) difficult for entry and b.) impossible for thrusting. However, regardless of this once I carefully angled it inside of me it landed perfectly on my gspot and I didn't require a thrusting action to orgasm. I can rock it if I like and still get maximum g-spot pleasure.

The pressure I can apply with this is great enough that I don't even have to use the vibrations to get off with it. If I want I can do with or without the vibrations and still rub my g-spot til orgasm. (Well, I use clitoral vibrations to get off but rubbing my G-spot with my clit makes my masturbation session set off like fireworks.

The Moka is also not a girthy toy which is a huge plus for me. I don't really care for girthy toys so I tend to go for the thinner ones. The Moka is 8” in length. I’d say about 4.5” is insertable. After 4.5” you run into the buttons and after that is the plastic battery pack. The G spot curved tip is 1.5” long and 1” wide. The neck of the Moka is the thinnest part and falls just under 1” thick. The widest part is where the button area is and is 1.5” thick.
The Moka is also waterproof. This makes it great for use in the shower/tub/jacuzzi. The shaft is made of silicone while the base is made of plastic. The silicone is great quality. Like I said a moment ago this is an affordable alternative to their pricier toys so you can notice a difference in the silicone quality in comparison to their luxury toys but the quality is still great. It's smooth, there's no drag to it whatsoever, and it feels luxurious.

The Moka takes 2 AAA batteries and has 3 buttons on the side at the base of the vibrator. Two of the buttons turn up/down the vibes while the 3rd changes the mode. It has 12 different patterns of vibrations. The vibrations aren't weak they're very impressive in strength and the patterns are unique and exciting. Alot of the patterns have escalation and deescalation modes while the others may be a bit random. Unlike the Posh Teaser 4 when you turn off the vibrator it doesn't save the last function; instead it starts you back at the beginning when you turn it back on. But the difference between the two is the Moka has 2 additional patterns than the Posh which only has 10 patterns total. Because the silicone is a much better quality than the Posh it's super easy to clean. I use a toy cleaner wipe and I don't have any issue with resistance or drag.

So, what is my overall opinion of the Moka? I think it's a great quality toy. Although the curve is very prominent and can be slightly uncomfortable at the wrong angle for me, the shape is perfect for applying pressure to the g-spot and the material is of a great quality. It's low maintenance to clean and its vibes didn't leave me wanting something stronger. It comes with a 1 yr warranty. It's affordable and altogether a nice vibrator.

PicoBong Moka gets a 4/5.

Would I recommend this toy? Heck yes I would! The only person I wouldn't recommend this to is someone with a low pubic bone who needs thrusting to orgasm. I'm working around it and I haven't had any issue not orgasming. I think this would be a good toy for anyone who enjoys a good g-spot stimulator.

Posh Teaser 4 Review

The Posh Teaser 4 by Cal Exotics is going to christen this blog as the first review I post. So here goes...

So, I got the Posh Teaser 4 because it's made of silicone which is one of the best materials you can get in a sex toy. Silicone is body safe and non-pourous so you can clean it and use it with other partners or between the vagina and anus without worrying about transferring bacteria. The second reason I got the Posh Teaser 4 is because I was curious about the texture and shape of the vibrator. It has 3 large bumps along the shaft and a subtle curve at the end for G spot stimulation. The bumps are noticeable when inserted and provide nice stimulation. The curve at the end is subtle but teases the G spot. It's not as prominent as some G spot stimulators but it's still very nice. I own a couple G spot toys that have a very prominent curve and while they are excellent for the G spot they get caught up on my pubic bone. It's a nice change to have something that I can thrust with and not have to worry about hitting bone.

The Posh Teaser 4 has 10 patterns of vibrations. The patterns are:
1. Vibrate (HIGH)
2. Vibrate (MEDIUM)
3. Vibrate (LOW)
4. Gradient Burst
5. Intermittent
6. Surge
7. Inta-surge
8. Even Step
9. Roller Coaster Spurt
10. Pulsate

The vibrations are pretty standard strength in comparison to most vibrators. They're strong and not shaky but the levels of intensity are average. They're not uncomfortably strong and also not too weak.
I didn't have any issue getting to orgasm with this vibrator.

The Posh Teaser 4 measures 6.75” in length, 5” insertable, and is 1” thick. It is not a girthy toy and is perfect for those who prefer thinner toys, like me. The base of the toy where the battery compartment is (takes 2 AAA batteries) has the turn on/off button. This button lights up and blinks in rythym with the patterns of vibrations. The vibes are very quiet but this light makes this toy non-discreet if you're using this in a dark room with another person present. (not Dorm Room friendly).

My biggest complaint about this vibrator is the material. I know I said silicone is one of the best but this silicone isn't the best quality. It has a gummy feeling to it and attracts lint as bad as a jelly vibrator would. It also has alot of resistance and drag which makes this a pain for cleaning and storing.

Speaking of storage, silicone toys cannot be stored alongside other silicone toys. This is because the material of both toys will deteriorate. Silicone toys should be stored separately. Likewise, this should not be used with a silicone lubricant for the same reason. Stick with a water-based lube.

The Posh Teaser 4 is also waterproof! This means you can use this in the tub/shower/jacuzzi and not have to worry about it getting damaged. Now, water-based lubricants will not work if used in water. And silicone lube is out of the question since the toy is made of silicone. Try an oil based lubricant if you use this in water so you'll stay lubricated during use and it won't wash away.  Unfortunately it may be difficult to wash it off/out after you're done.

Though I love the texture (bumps and tip) of the Posh Teaser 4, the material is a no-go for me.It has too much drag and attracts lint like crazy. Maintaining this is high maintenance. Because of this I have to say this will not be a favorite of mine. I'd rate it a 3/5.

Would I recommend this toy? Well this definitely wouldn't be a toy for toy snobs. The g spot stimulation is nice and would probably be best for a.) beginners to g spot stimulation and b.) for those who prefer a subtle g spot curve on their toys. So, for those people I would recommend this.
